From nemesis to power couple. They say keep your enemies closer, but mine decided to stick around in the best way. Who would have thought that my childhood monitoring spirit would evolve into my biggest supporter? 😌 I spent my younger years unbending, unapologetic, and unattached brushing off opinions and dodging relationships. Yet, there was one person who didn’t get the memo, my now-fiancé. With unwavering patience and persistence, he chipped away at my walls, and I was too busy looking the other way to notice. It wasn’t till his consistency blew me away that I realized this was the guardian angel I’d been keeping at arm’s length for far too long. From the moment I finally accepted to be his girlfriend, everything shifted… Then came the words that left me speechless: “I don’t want a relationship, I want to marry you.” Followed by a sweet “Let’s pray.” I was like, “What’s going on in this guy’s head? Who told him I’d want to marry him?” 😅 Little did I know that was the start of forever. He’s been my biggest cheerleader, always looking out for me, and keeping my heart in mind. There were moments I was dramatic, and There came tough times when everything seemed to be falling apart. But as they say, love conquers all, and yes, our love beats the odds.
